We are stuck there is a violent snowstorm outside and not sure where the rest of the team are.
At one point it looked like the weather was going to clear yesterday but we were wrong. We would say at least 75cm – 1metre of snow has set – we cannot even see out of the window. Temperatures have dropped down to -15 degrees centigrade and it has frozen the windows solid- we found one window which was fairly clear, visibility is 5metres at most.
We hope the team are ascending safely to us. We are expecting them to be here by late afternoon.

Bad weather conditions has made it impossible for the crew of seVen to reach the 2 climbers Kheiry Sammakieh and Omar Samra awaiting the rest of the team to join them at 3200m and make their way up to the summit of Jebel Toubkal.

Hello again,
Some updates for you…
Due to severe weather in London, most airports have been shut down. We’re on
the fence waiting to see what happens- we hope the snow will stop and they
will be able to clear the runways in time for the rest of the team to find
us on the mountain.
We’ve established our basecamp at 3200m, the winds have been relentless
higher up the mountain. We can no longer see the route we established due to
cloud cover.
We are expecting a fresh dump of snow today – conditions will worsen.
There have been reports from other climbers that the summit is barren with
gale force winds coming in from the west, most likely due to swells from the
Atlantic Ocean.
We can only hope the weather will clear by the time we all get up to the
refuge tomorrow – we will keep you posted.
We hope you are all keeping warm wherever you are.
The seVen team.
